Please read our terms and conditions prior to booking, we want to offer transparency and simplicity to all customers. By reserving or booking our services means you understand and accept these terms.

An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18 on their trip

Minimum ages: To paddle a Canadian canoe: 12 years, To be a passenger in a Canadian canoe: 4 years, accompanied by 2 adults

A minimum of 2 people must be in your group. We DO NOT hire to individual paddlers

Cost of hire must be paid for in full before your trip

Valid card detail will be obtained as security against the equipment, these details are discarded once the equipment is return in working order

All participants must wear a buoyancy aid at all times whilst on the river

Participants must be considerate to all other river users i.e.; fellow canoeists, rowers and fisherman

You are responsible for ensuring that you have the correct clothing, and are fit enough to complete your chosen trip comfortably

Only land at suitable areas, away from cattle and crops

The Hirer agrees to pay for any loss or damage of equipment

Anyone who appears under the influence of drink or drugs will not be allowed to hire and will not be eligible for a refund

Fishing is subject to the appropriate licenses

Participants must arrive at the meeting point by the specified time.  We may start the trip without you if you are late and full payment will be retained

Hire is subject to Safe River and weather conditions. If a postponement of your hire is deemed necessary, we will give you as much notice as possible and we will offer you alternative dates. If no alternative date can be agreed, a full refund will be offered

DISCLAIMER. We will not be liable for any death, personal injury, or loss of or damage to goods arising out of the hire of any items by them unless that death, personal injury or loss of, or damage to the goods arises directly from an act or omission on the part of the company, its servant or agent

Participants should be aware that kayaking / canoeing can be dangerous.  Hazards include (but not limited to); drowning, hypothermia, repetitive strain injury, slips, trips, falls, biological hazards from river water, skeletal/muscular injuries from paddling or moving equipment.  All participants accept exposure the aforementioned hazards and do not hold Hereford kayak & canoes responsible for injuries obtained from kayaking, canoeing or any associated activity

We do not have any responsibility whatsoever for loss or damage to your personal belongings. You should be aware that any water resistant containers supplied by us are not guaranteed to be waterproof. Therefore you should not rely on the water-resistant containers that we supply to keep your property dry, and you accept that you are taking your personal property on to the river at your own risk

Clients booking by online or by telephone will be deemed to have read and accepted these terms and conditions.

People with existing injuries should not participate.

We reserve the right to make amendments to these Terms and Conditions without notice. The full and latest version of our Terms and Conditions are on our website

Cancellation Policy:  We reserve the right to cancel any trip for reasons including (but not limited to): Unsuitable weather, unsuitable river/riverbank conditions. If we cancel the trip for any of the above reasons, an alternative date will be offered.  At our discretion, we may offer a refund or credit. We are not liable for any losses incurred to clients due to the cancellation of trips. Small Groups (4 or fewer people):  You may cancel your trip up to 72 hours prior to the scheduled start of your trip.  An alternative date must be arranged within the next 12 months subject to availability and operating schedule.  Refunds are not available. Large Groups (5 or more people):  You may cancel your trip up to 7 days prior to the scheduled start of your trip.  An alternative date must be arranged within the next 12 months subject to availability and operating schedule. Refunds are not available. Private guided trips: Where a private guide has been hired for your trip, (regardless of group size), specifically for your group; A guide may be cancelled up to 7 days prior to the scheduled start of your trip.  Cancellations within this period attract the following charge: Half Day: £60. / Full Day: £100. Failure to arrive at the scheduled time will result in forfeiture of all funds paid.
